爾時，大慧菩薩摩訶薩復白佛言：「世尊！惟願為說諸須陀洹、須陀洹趣差別通相。若菩薩摩訶薩善解須陀洹趣差別通相，及斯陀含、阿那含、阿羅漢方便相，分別知已，如是如是為眾生說法，謂二無我相及二障淨，度諸地相究竟通達，得諸如來不思議究竟境界。如眾色摩尼善能饒益一切眾生，以一切法境界無盡身財攝養一切。」

At that time, the Bodhisattva-Mahāsattva Mahāmati again addressed the Buddha, saying: 'World-Honoured One, I only pray that you will explain for our sake the distinctive and common characteristics of srotāpannas and those entering the srotāpanna path. If bodhisattva-mahāsattvas thoroughly understand the distinctive and common characteristics of those entering the srotāpanna path, as well as the characteristics of the expedients of sakṛdāgāmins, anāgāmins, and arhats, and having discerned and known them, preach the Dharma in these respective ways to sentient beings—namely, the characteristics of the two kinds of selflessness and the purification of the two obscurations, progressively mastering the characteristics of the various bhūmis, and attaining the inconceivable ultimate realm of the Tathāgatas—they will, like a multicolored maṇi jewel, be well able to benefit all sentient beings, sustaining all with inexhaustible wealth of body through the realm of all dharmas.'
