「云何愚夫所行禪？謂聲聞、緣覺、外道修行者，觀人無我性自相、共相，骨瑣無常、苦、不淨相，計著為首。如是相不異觀，前後轉進，相不除滅，是名愚夫所行禪。」

"What is the dhyāna practiced by the foolish? It means that śrāvakas, pratyekabuddhas, and tīrthika practitioners contemplate the svalakṣaṇa and sāmānyalakṣaṇa of the selflessness of persons, taking the characteristics of interconnected bones, impermanence, suffering, and impurity as foremost in their attachment. Not viewing them as different from these characteristics, they progress step by step without eliminating the characteristics. This is called the dhyāna practiced by the foolish."
