This verse states that whether there is continuity or no continuity comes down to nothing more than the false and the real: when there is falsity, there is continuity; when there is reality, there is no continuity. If one realizes that the false is identical to the real, then all dharmas are of one suchness—how could there be continuity or non-continuity? If one is ignorant of the dharmas and grasps at them following words, like a silkworm spinning a web, binding oneself and binding others without interruption, this is due to failing to observe. Turn around and observe it—where could continuity be?
