佛告大慧：「不如是，無智應是智，非非智，我不如是隱覆說攀緣事智慧不得，是施設量建立。覺自心現量，有無有外性非性知而事不得。不得故，智於爾焰不生，順三解脫智亦不得。非妄想者，無始性非性虛偽習智作如是知，是知彼不知。」

The Buddha told Mahāmati: "It is not so. Non-wisdom should indeed be wisdom, not non-wisdom. I do not speak with hidden, veiled meaning when I say that wisdom apprehends no cognitive objects, and that this is established as a measure of nominal designation. When one awakens to cittadṛśyamātra, one knows the existence and nonexistence of external natures and non-natures, yet objects are unapprehended. Because they are unapprehended, wisdom does not arise with respect to the cognitive object (jñeya); in accord with the three liberations, wisdom is also unapprehended. Those who are not falsely discriminating do not have such knowledge produced by the false habitual wisdom of beginningless natures and non-natures; to know in that way is to know that [object] while not knowing [the mind]."
