"For example, Mahāmati, the Ganges sands have the intrinsic nature of earth. When the eon is consumed at its end, all earth is burned, yet that great element of earth does not abandon its intrinsic nature, because it co-arises with the great element of fire. Other foolish people imagine that the earth is burned, yet the earth is not burned, due to its cause in fire. Just so, Mahāmati, the Tathāgata's dharmakāya is indestructible like the sands of the Ganges."
