「大慧！譬如恒沙無有限量，如來光明亦復如是，無有限量，為成熟眾生故，普照一切諸佛大眾。大慧！譬如恒沙，別求異沙永不可得。如是大慧！如來、應供、等正覺無生死、生滅，有因緣斷故。」

"Mahāmati, for example, the Ganges sands are limitless; the Tathāgata's light is also like this: it is limitless, and in order to bring sentient beings to maturity, it universally illuminates the great assemblies of all Buddhas. Mahāmati, for example, regarding the Ganges sands, seeking other, different sands elsewhere can never be achieved. Just so, Mahāmati, the Tathāgata, Arhat, Samyaksambuddha is devoid of saṃsāra and birth and cessation, because conditions for existence are severed."
