「大慧！譬如恒沙隨水而流，非無水也。如是大慧！如來所說一切諸法隨涅槃流，是故說言如恒河沙。如來不隨諸去流轉，去是壞義故。大慧！生死本際不可知，不知故，云何說去？大慧！去者斷義，而愚夫不知。」

"Mahāmati, for example, the Ganges sands flow along with the water, yet it is not that there is no water. Just so, Mahāmati, all dharmas spoken by the Tathāgata flow along with nirvāṇa, and for this reason they are said to be like the sands of the Ganges River. The Tathāgata does not drift along with destinations, because 'going' has the meaning of destruction. Mahāmati, the primal limit of saṃsāra cannot be known. Since it is not known, how could one speak of going? Mahāmati, 'going' has the meaning of annihilation, yet foolish people do not understand this."
