「大慧！七識不流轉，不受苦樂，非涅槃因。大慧！如來藏者，受苦樂，與因俱，若生若滅，四住地、無明住地所醉，凡愚不覺，剎那見妄想熏心。」

"Mahāmati, the seven consciousnesses do not undergo transmigration, do not experience suffering and pleasure, and are not the cause of nirvāṇa. Mahāmati, it is the tathāgatagarbha that experiences suffering and pleasure, is conjoined with causes, undergoes arising and cessation, and is intoxicated by the four stages of abiding and the abiding stage of ignorance. The foolish and ignorant do not realize this; perfumed by the vikalpa of momentary views, their minds are affected."
