（宗泐）即奉詔，鍥梓於京師天界禪林。（如玘）還杭之演福，私念與（宗泐）同被上旨，豈宜以天界為拘，合刊斯經於演福。獨其卷帙浩繁，未遂厥志，蚤夜以為憂。淨慈禪師（臣夷簡）乃為撰疏，勸諸同袍暨樂善者助成之。起手於又明年夏五月，至冬十一月訖，功費鈔五百六十四緍云。

Zongle immediately received the imperial decree and had the printing blocks carved at the Tianjie Chan Monastery in the capital. Ruqi returned to Yanfu in Hangzhou, and privately reflected that having jointly received the imperial decree with Zongle, how could he be restricted to Tianjie? It was fitting that this sūtra also be printed at Yanfu. However, its fascicles being vast and numerous, his wish could not immediately be fulfilled, causing him concern day and night. Work began in the fifth month in summer of the following year and was completed by the eleventh month in winter, the labour costing 564 strings of paper currency.
