The Buddha told Mahāmati: "All tīrthikas have seven kinds of impermanence, which are not my Dharma. What are the seven? Some say: abandoning after having made is called impermanence. Some say: the destruction of shape and location is called impermanence. Some say: form itself is impermanence. Some say: the intermediate transformation of form is called impermanence, disintegrating spontaneously without interruption, like the transformation of milk into curd, the interval of which cannot be seen, destroying by impermanence and transforming all natures. Some say: nature is impermanent. Some say: nature-and-non-nature is impermanent. Some say: the impermanence of the non-origination of all dharmas enters into all dharmas."
