The characteristics of the discrimination of the four propositions are as previously explained. Saying "being free from the four propositions" means not being attached to false conceptions. If one falls into the conceptions of the four propositions, this is not the way to awaken to the nature and self-nature. Now, when everything is sought and cannot be obtained, one is free from those four propositions and returns to the fundamental nature; this is called all dharmas. Contemplating all dharmas through these four propositions, there is no sentiment that is not departed from, and no nature that is not revealed; hence the concluding exhortation says: "should be cultivated and studied."
