"Just as when a person with cataracts in the eyes sees floating hairs and says to the crowd, 'Look at this,' yet those floating hairs are ultimately neither an entity nor a non-entity, because they are both seen and not seen. Even so the false views and hopes of the tīrthikas, relying on views of identity and difference, both and neither, existence, nonexistence, neither existence nor nonexistence, permanence and impermanence, slander the true Dharma and bring ruin upon themselves and ruin upon others."
