Now, being free from all measures of speech is simply non-arising, quiescence, and original nirvāṇa. Having revealed the fundamental nature, [the sūtra] then returns to the principle, concluding by stating 'there is neither thing nor cause' and so forth. Only the one Dharmakāya stands aloof and independent, not seeing phenomena as clinging conditions; hence it transcends all falsity, and is named the Tathāgata, the Samyaksambuddha. Repeating the word 'Buddha' translates the distinction of knowing and perceiving, conjoining both names. Words reaching this point may be called the ultimate; yet repeating again 'free from all sensory-capacity measures' answers the previous question comprehensively, pointing back to the svabhāva of the Dharmakāya.
