五、表法者，有三義：一城表理玄、二羅剎表障重、三入顯行成。行成離羅剎之障，證難入之城。《對法論》中轉依略有三義：一轉成，謂行成也；二轉離，謂滅障也；三轉顯，謂證理也。此中三義，當知亦爾。

Fifth, concerning expressing the Dharma, there are three senses: First, the city expresses the profundity of principle. Second, the rākṣasas express the heaviness of hindrances. Third, entering reveals the perfection of practice. When practice is perfected, one leaves behind the hindrances of the rākṣasas and realizes the city that is difficult to enter. In the Abhidharmasamuccayavyākhyā, āśrayaparavṛtti has briefly three senses: first, transformation into perfection, referring to the perfection of practice; second, transformation through separation, referring to the eradication of hindrances; third, transformation through manifestation, referring to the realization of principle. The three senses here should be known to be likewise.
