Ninth, concerning combined analysis: Because it is the entry to what is difficult to reach, relying on the difficulty of the place reveals the Buddha's power. Furthermore, relying on meaning to reveal teaching, relying on principle to reveal virtue, and relying on the object to reveal practice are all tatpuruṣa compounds. Because the difficult is precisely the entry, so that object and wisdom are not distinct, it is a karmadhāraya compound. The entry of the difficult and entry which is itself difficult—these two can be known by reversing the former. Second, combining teaching and meaning: The sūtra that expresses entering Laṅkā means the teaching is established relying on the meaning. Or, relying on entering the city of Laṅkā, this teaching was proclaimed; thus the title of the sūtra is established relying on the place. Both are tatpuruṣa compounds. If the nature of words is separated [from attachment], that is liberation; because teaching is precisely meaning, it is a karmadhāraya compound. Or, because the place is capable of expressing meaning and the sūtra is identical with the place, it is also a karmadhāraya compound.
