上佛言諸識有二種生住滅，已下至此，謂無明熏習，真如成染緣起也。故論云「當知無明能生一切染法，一切染法皆是不覺相故。」

From where the Buddha above spoke of the consciousnesses having two kinds of arising, abiding, and cessation down to this point, it describes how ignorance perfumes and suchness forms the conditioned arising of defilement. Thus the treatise says: 'One should know that ignorance can give rise to all defiled phenomena, for all defiled phenomena are characteristics of non-enlightenment.'
