言緣起自性者，謂依他眾緣和合生起，猶如幻事，名緣起自性。亦有二義：一、依真理之他，如波依水起；二、依妄緣之他，如波依風。

As for paratantrasvabhāva, it refers to arising dependent on the coming together of other manifold conditions, like illusory creations; hence it is named paratantrasvabhāva. It also has two meanings: first, dependent on the other of the true principle, as waves arise dependent on water; second, dependent on the other of false conditions, as waves depend on wind.
