Regarding 'discriminating objective realms': these are the various objective realms manifested by the manifesting consciousness, which can in turn stir the ocean of the mind and raise the waves of the various object-consciousnesses. Regarding 'the latencies of beginningless conceptual proliferation': these are the latencies of false thoughts and conceptual proliferation within that unified ocean of the mind. Since beginningless time their perfuming has been uninterrupted, never having been separated from thought; therefore, these objective realms and false conceptual proliferations perfume and stir the ocean of the mind, producing various consciousnesses. Because false thoughts and objective realms are coarse and evident, the phenomenal marks of the object-discriminating consciousness produced by them are coarse and evident. This is what the Awakening of Faith calls the 'corresponding mind.' This means that the manifesting consciousness arises by relying on inconceivable perfuming, and abides by relying on inconceivable transformation. The object-discriminating consciousness arises by relying on objective realms, and abides by relying on the ocean of the mind.
