The first verse clarified the Dharma that is cultivated; the second verse clarified the persons capable of realization. This third verse clarifies both subject and object together: neither departs from the cittamatra of false discrimination. If one is awakened in accordance with reality, it is for the sake of falsely conceptualized birth and death that nirvāṇa is spoken of; since the birth and death to be remedied does not exist, the remedying nirvāṇa is also dispensed with, and therefore one attains all the liberations of a bodhisattva.
