The noble ones of the three vehicles all take the joy of Dharma and the bliss of dhyāna as their nourishment; that the Tathāgata's Dharmakāya is without mixed food is as the *Mahāprajñāpāramitopadeśa* (*Dazhidu lun*) says: 'Except for the true nature (dharmatā) of all phenomena, all else is the work of Māra.' Thus, the afflictions and the knowable (jñeya), their active states, bījas, and latent habits (vāsanā) are entirely severed. The omniscient wisdom (sarvākārajñatā) is fully bright, and with the compassionate mind devoid of objective conditions, one contemplates sentient beings as an only child. How could one permit disciples to eat the flesh of an only child, or eat the flesh of an only child oneself?
