佛言：「人隨情欲求花名，譬如燒香，眾人聞其香，然香以薰自燒。愚者貪流俗之名譽，不守道真，花名危己之禍，其悔在後時。」

The Buddha said: "When people follow emotional desires and seek illusory fame, it is like burning incense: many people smell its fragrance, but the incense is consumed by its own burning. The foolish covet worldly reputation and do not maintain the truth of the Way; the disaster of illusory fame imperiling oneself brings regret only when it is too late."
