佛言：「諸沙門行道，當如牛負行深泥中，疲極不敢左右顧，趣欲離泥，以自蘇息。沙門視情欲甚於彼泥，直心念道，可免眾苦。」

The Buddha said: "When śramaṇas practice the Way, they should be like an ox bearing a heavy load through deep mud: utterly exhausted, it dares not glance to the left or right, striving solely to get out of the mud so as to catch its breath. A śramaṇa should view emotional desires as worse than that mud; with a straightforward mind mindful of the Way, one can escape all suffering."
