Now, those who do good do not kill, do not steal, and do not commit sexual misconduct: these are the three wholesome actions of the body. They are not duplicitous, do not use harsh speech, do not lie, and do not engage in frivolous talk: these are the four wholesome actions of the mouth. They are not covetous, do not harbor ill will, and are not deluded: these are the three wholesome actions of the mind. If one goes against these, slandering and causing division is called duplicity; cursing and reviling is called malicious speech; lack of truthfulness is called lying; flattering and cunning deception is called frivolous talk. Envying the worthy and concealing goodness is called covetousness; harboring resentment is called ill will. Not worrying about life and death and merely indulging in sensory desire is called delusion.
