後能詮，「修多羅」三字總指諸經。「了義」二字歎此一部是諸經決了之義也。故下文云：「是十二部經清淨眼目。」經之一字正是此典。

As for that which expresses: the three characters "sūtra" (xiu-duo-luo / sūtra) refer generally to all scriptures. The two characters "ultimate meaning" (liaoyi / nītārtha) praise this single work as the definitive meaning of all scriptures. Thus the text below says: "It is the pure eye of the twelve divisions of scripture." The single character "scripture" (jing) precisely designates this canon.
