若知二教權實，二宗亦不相違。謂就機則三、約法則一，新熏則五，本有無二等。二、對破相者，略有五別：
If one knows the provisional and the real of these two teachings, then the two traditions also do not conflict with each other. That is to say: from the perspective of faculties there are three, while from the perspective of the Dharma there is one; in terms of newly perfumed [seeds] there are five [lineages], while fundamentally existent [nature] has no duality, and so forth. Second, concerning the refutation of characteristics, there are briefly five distinctions:
