次下正說長行，中二：一答斷輪迴、二答修悲智。前中二：一推本末令斷、二明種性令知。初中二：一示所斷、二勸令斷。初中四：一指愛為本、二欲助成因、三展轉更依、四起諸業報。

Next below is the prose explanation proper, which has two parts: 1. Answering about severing saṃsāra; 2. Answering about cultivating compassion and wisdom. The former has two parts: 1. Investigating the root and branches to cause them to be severed; 2. Clarifying the gotras to make them known. Within the first are two: 1. Indicating what is to be severed; 2. Exhorting them to sever it. The first has four: 1. Pointing to affection as the root; 2. Desire assisting to form the cause; 3. Mutually depending in turn; 4. Producing various karmic retributions.
