2.866

正宗佛法之末世也。夫正法之時修則皆證，末世之時人多取相。今既取證相，則正法亦同末世。若遇此教，了達病源，則雖末世還同正法。

It is the end-period of the authentic Buddhist Dharma. In the time of the true Dharma, those who cultivated all attained realization; in the time of the end-period, people mostly seize upon marks. Now, since they seize upon the mark of realization, the true Dharma is also identical to the end-period. If one encounters this teaching and thoroughly penetrates the source of the disease, then although it is the end-period, it is still identical to the true Dharma.
