提，携；獎，勸也。文殊顯傳佛旨，密護阿難，先令登伽見佛離欲，聞法增道，意顯呪力不可思議也。如下文云「彼尚婬女，無心修行，神力冥資速證無學，何況汝等在會聲聞求最上乘，決定成佛」等。序分竟。

" 'Guiding' means leading by hand; 'encouraging' means exhorting. Mañjuśrī overtly conveyed the Buddha's command and secretly protected Ānanda, first causing Mātaṅgī to see the Buddha and abandon lust, and hearing the Dharma to advance on the path; the intention is to reveal the inconceivable power of the mantra. As stated below: 'Even that courtesan, who had no intention to practice, by the secret assistance of divine power quickly realized the stage beyond learning; how much more so should you śrāvakas in the assembly seeking the supreme vehicle definitely attain Buddhahood!' The introductory section is concluded.
