時波斯匿王為其父王諱日營齋，請佛宮掖，自迎如來，廣設珍羞無上妙味，兼復親延諸大菩薩。
At that time, King Prasenajit, on the memorial day of his father the king, arranged a vegetarian feast, inviting the Buddha to the inner palace; he welcomed the Tathāgata in person, extensively setting out rare delicacies of unsurpassed wondrous flavors, and also personally invited all the great bodhisattvas.
