阿難言：「我實遍見此祇陀林，不知是中何者非見。何以故？若樹非見，云何見樹？若樹即見，復云何樹？如是乃至若空非見，云何見空？若空即見，復云何空？我又思惟：是萬像中微細發明無非見者。」
Ānanda said: "I truly see all across this Jeta Grove, and I do not know which among these is not seeing. Why? If a tree is not seeing, how can one see the tree? If a tree is precisely seeing, how is it further a tree? And so on down to: if space is not seeing, how can one see space? If space is precisely seeing, how is it further space? I have also reflected: among these myriad images, in subtle discernment, there is none that is not seeing."
