「若舌性苦，誰來甞舌？舌不自甞，孰為知覺？舌性非苦，味自不生，云何立界？」

"If the nature of the tongue is bitter, who comes to taste the tongue? If the tongue cannot taste itself, what serves as the sentience? If the nature of the tongue is not bitter, taste inherently does not arise; how can the element be established?
