「阿難！若因意生，於汝意中必有所思，發明汝意；若無前法，意無所生，離緣無形，識將何用？」
"Ānanda! If it is produced because of the mind, within your mind there must be thoughts that manifest your mind. If there are no dharmas before you, the mind has nothing from which to arise; separated from conditions, it has no form—for what purpose would consciousness be used?
