「若此見精與暗與明非一體者，汝離明、暗及與虛空，分析見元，作何形相？離明、離暗及離虛空，是見元同龜毛兔角，明、暗、虛空三事俱異，從何立見？」

"If this essence of seeing were not one substance with darkness, light, and empty space, then apart from light, darkness, and empty space, when you analyze the origin of seeing, what appearance would it have? Apart from light, darkness, and empty space, this seeing would originally be like a tortoise's fur or a hare's horns. If light, darkness, and empty space are all three distinct from it, from what could seeing be established?"
