3.58

「阿難！譬如有人以一冷手觸於熱手，若冷勢多熱者從冷，若熱功勝冷者成熱。如是以此合覺之觸顯於離知，涉勢若成，因于勞觸，兼身與勞同是菩提瞪發勞相。」

"Ānanda, it is like a person who touches a hot hand with a cold hand: if the power of cold is greater, the hot one follows the cold; if the efficacy of heat prevails, the cold one becomes hot. Thus, by means of this touch of contact awareness, awareness of separation is made manifest. If the mutual influence is accomplished, it is due to the touch of fatigue; together, the body and the fatigue are both the fatigued marks produced by bodhi's staring."
