「如摩登伽宿為婬女，由神呪力消其愛欲，法中今名性比丘尼，與羅睺母耶輸陀羅同悟宿因，知歷世因貪愛為苦，一念熏修無漏善故，或得出纏，或蒙授記。」

"Just as Mātaṅgī was formerly a courtesan, but by the power of the spiritual dhāraṇī had her love and desire eliminated, and is now named in the Dharma the bhikṣuṇī Prakṛti; together with Rāhula's mother, Yaśodharā, she awakened to past causes, knowing that throughout lifetimes suffering arose from greedy attachment, and because in a single thought they cultivated undefiled goodness, one escaped entanglement, and one received prediction [of Buddhahood]."
