「云何將此畢竟斷滅以為修因，欲獲如來七常住果？世尊！若離明暗見畢竟空，如無前塵念自性滅，進退循環微細推求，本無我心及我心所，將誰立因求無上覺？」

"how can one take this ultimate annihilation as the cause of cultivation, desiring to obtain the Tathāgata's seven permanently abiding fruitions? World-Honoured One, if separated from brightness and darkness seeing is ultimately empty, just as without external dusts the nature of thought itself is extinguished, then examining back and forth in subtle search, fundamentally there is no mind of mine nor its mental factors: using what can one establish the cause to seek supreme enlightenment?"
