憍陳那五比丘即從座起，頂禮佛足而白佛言：「我在鹿苑及於鷄園，觀見如來最初成道，於佛音聲悟明四諦。」
The five monks including Kauṇḍinya immediately rose from their seats, bowed their heads at the Buddha's feet, and said to the Buddha, "When we were in the Deer Park and at the Cock's Grove, we observed the Tathāgata first attaining the Way, and through the Buddha's sound we awakened to and understood the Four Noble Truths."
