摩訶迦葉及紫金光比丘尼等即從座起，頂禮佛足而白佛言：「我於往劫於此界中，有佛出世名日月燈，我得親近，聞法修學。」
Mahākāśyapa and the nun Purple-Golden Light and others immediately arose from their seats, bowed their heads at the Buddha's feet, and addressed the Buddha, saying: "In past kalpas in this world, there was a Buddha appearing in the world named Sun Moon Lamp; I was able to draw near to him, hear the Dharma, and cultivate and learn."
