亦云笈房鉢底，此云牛呞。牛凡不食亦事虛哨，此人口相如牛之哨也。《大論》出緣與經有異，教觀舌根，嘗味入道，當得心地一味法門。了味之知從此永滅，故云滅心入三摩地。

He is also called Jifangbodi, which is translated here as 'Cow Cud'. An ox, even when not eating, vainly chews the cud; this person's mouth resembled an ox chewing. The cause related in the *Mahāprajñāpāramitopadeśa* differs from this sūtra. Being taught to contemplate the tongue faculty and enter the Path by tasting flavors, he attained the Dharma-gate of the one flavor of the mind-ground. The consciousness that discerns flavors was thereby permanently extinguished; hence it says, 'I was able to extinguish the mind and enter samādhi.'
