交中無性，將何遣有而更存無，一性之中無對待故。肇公云：「有既不有，則無無矣。」此則正顯根塵中道，亦是上根塵同源之義。

Within the intertwining there is no inherent nature; how could one discard existence while still retaining non-existence, since within the one nature there are no dualistic counterparts? Master Sengzhao said: "Since existence is not existent, non-existence is also non-existent." This directly reveals the Middle Way of faculties and dusts, and is also the meaning of the previous "faculties and dusts have the same source."
