道場加行事理兩修，內秉戒根，外假心呪，內外相濟道力易成。為汝宣揚，當善思念。

The preliminary applications for the place of practice involve the dual cultivation of phenomenon and principle: inwardly upholding the root of the precepts, and outwardly relying on the heart-mantra. With inner and outer mutually assisting each other, the power of the Way is easily completed. "I will proclaim it for you; you should contemplate it well."
