6.360

「是故阿難！若不斷婬修禪定者，如蒸砂石欲其成飯，經百千劫秖名熱砂。何以故？此非飯本，砂石成故。」

"Therefore, Ānanda, if one cultivates dhyāna-concentration without severing lust, it is like steaming sand and stones wishing them to become cooked rice: even through hundreds of thousands of kalpas, they will only be called hot sand. Why is this? Because this is not the root material of rice, being composed of sand and stones."
