「是一顛迦銷滅佛種，如人以刀斷多羅木，佛記是人永殞善根，無復知見，沈三苦海，不成三昧。」

"Such an icchantika eradicates the Buddha-seed, just as when someone severs a tāla tree with a knife. The Buddha predicts that this person permanently destroys their roots of goodness, having no further knowledge or vision; they sink into the ocean of the three sufferings and do not achieve samādhi."
