大文第五、出聖教名殊者，上來諸文依解起行，修行漸次由因克果，一期周畢。此之法門當流後代，須建經名，若無其名，何以召體而流布耶？故此文來。文二：一、文殊問。

Major section five, revealing the distinct titles of the sacred teaching. The preceding passages took understanding as the basis for initiating practice, and the gradual cultivation proceeded from cause to fruition, bringing one period to full completion. For this Dharma gate to circulate in future generations, the sūtra title must be established; if it has no title, how could its essence be invoked and circulated? Hence this text follows. The text has two parts: first, Mañjuśrī's inquiry.
