8.301

「世尊！如寶蓮香比丘尼持菩薩戒，私行婬欲，妄言行婬非殺、非偷，無有業報。發是語已，先於女根生大猛火，後於節節猛火燒然，墮無間獄。琉璃大王、善星比丘，瑠璃為誅瞿曇族姓，善星妄說一切法空，生身陷入阿鼻地獄。此諸地獄為有定處？為復自然？彼彼發業各各私受？」

"World-Honoured One, for instance, the nun Jewel Fragrance upheld the bodhisattva precepts, yet privately engaged in sexual desire, falsely claiming that engaging in sex was neither killing nor stealing, and had no karmic retribution. After uttering these words, first from her female organ a great, fierce fire arose, and later in joint after joint the fierce fire burned, and she fell into the Relentless Hell. King Virūḍhaka and the monk Sunakkhatta—Virūḍhaka for exterminating the Gautama clan, and Sunakkhatta for falsely preaching that all dharmas are empty—fell bodily into Avīci Hell. Do these hells have a fixed place, or are they spontaneous? Does each individual generate karma and privately undergo [retribution]?"
