「阿難！一切世間生死相續，生從順習、死從變流，臨命終時未捨煖觸，一生善惡俱時頓現，死逆生順，二習相交。」

"Ānanda, the continuity of birth and death for all in the world is such that birth follows habituated agreement, and death follows transforming reversal. When approaching the end of life, before warmth has left the body, the good and evil of an entire lifetime manifest all at once. Death is contrary and birth is agreeable; the two habits intermingle."
