"Fourth is the habit of anger, mutually conflicting, arising from contrariness. When contrariness binds without cessation, heat in the mind generates fire, which casts the vital breath into metal. Thus, there are mountains of knives, iron stakes, sword trees, sword wheels, axes and halberds, spears and saws. Just as when a person harbors resentment, a murderous aura takes flight. As the two habits clash with one another, there are thus events such as castration, decapitation, chopping and piercing, pounding and beating. Therefore, all the tathāgatas of the ten directions characterize anger as 'sharp knives and swords.' Bodhisattvas regard anger as something to avoid like execution."
