此亦隨數。誑謂矯誑，心懷異謀，多現不實。矯現有德，詭詐為性，邪命為業。今云交欺，欺即誑也。誣罔即是現邪命事，以誘利譽也。塵土、屎尿皆苦具也。刀兵劫時人互殺害，故云劫殺。虺蝮，虺也，博三寸，首如擘。

This is also a secondary affliction. 'Guile' (śāṭhya) means false deception; harboring divergent schemes in the mind, one largely displays what is untrue. Feigning to possess virtue, it takes cunning trickery as its nature and wrong livelihood as its karma. Now it says 'mutually defrauding'; 'defrauding' is precisely 'guile.' Calumny and deception are the manifestation of deeds of wrong livelihood in order to entice gain and praise. Dust, dirt, feces, and urine are all implements of suffering. In the kalpa of weapons, people slaughter one another, hence it is called 'brigands and killers.' 'Poisonous viper' refers to a viper three inches wide with a head as big as a split thumb.
