「八者見習交明，如薩迦耶見、戒禁取、邪悟諸業，發於違拒，出生相返，如是故有王使、主吏、證執文籍，如行路人來往相見。二習相交，故有勘問、權詐、考訊、推鞫、察訪、披究、照明、善惡童子手執文簿辭辯諸事。是故十方一切如來，色目惡見同名見坑，菩薩見諸虛妄遍執如入毒壑。」

"Eighth is the habit of views, mutually elucidating, such as the view of the transitory collection, adherence to precepts and vows, and karmas of mistaken understanding, arising from contradiction and opposition and producing mutual contrariness. Thus, there are royal envoys, presiding officials, and documentary registers as evidence, just like travelers on a road seeing one another coming and going. As the two habits intertwine, there are thus events such as interrogation, deceptive contrivance, examination, judicial inquiry, investigative scrutiny, thorough dissection, illumination, and boys of good and evil holding records in hand to debate arguments. Therefore, all the tathāgatas of the ten directions characterize evil views unanimously as 'pits of views.' Bodhisattvas regard all false, pervasive clingings as entering a gorge of poison."
