「阿難！是等皆以宿債畢酬，復形人道，皆無始來業繫顛倒，相生相殺，不遇如來，不聞正法，於塵勞中法爾輪轉，此輩名為可憐愍者。」

"Ānanda! All these, because their past debts have been repaid in full, regain their forms in the human destiny. All of them, from beginningless time, bound by upside-down karma, mutually generating and killing each other, have not encountered a Tathāgata and have not heard the true Dharma; naturally transmigrating amid worldly toils, these sorts are named the pitiable."
